OPENING THE COFFEE SHOP

Please follow this checklist carefully to make sure everything is done properly.

  1. Lock the door behind you.

  2. Adjust heat/Air as needed.  Leave main lights off so not to confuse customers.  

  3. Turn on espresso machine.  Turn switch one click, wait for filling sound to stop.  Turn to final position.  

  4. Turn on music (if you want)

  5. Turn on hot water tower

  6. Wash hands thoroughly.

  7. Begin a pot of drip.  ALWAYS ensure the filter basket is placed all the way into place.

  8. Put away all stainless and assemble espresso machine

  9. Open cash drawers by following the opening procedures.

  10. Put cash log book and bags away.

  11. Check bathroom supply levels and cleanliness

  12. Wash hands.

  13. Pour drip into air pot; make another pot

  14. Use disenfecting wipes to wipe down door knobs and handles - fridge handles, bathroom knobs, front and back door knobs, etc.

  15. Turn on TV menu boards.

  16. Perform a shop walk through for cleanliness and order.  All furniture is lined up and in place.  All tables are clean (wipe down if needed).  

  17. Ensure wash stations (3 basin sink and handwashing) have adequate paper towels and handsoap.

  18. 5 minutes prior to open, turn on main lights.  Unlock doors.

  19. Have an awesome shift!
